Sue Lynn Sasser, Ph.d. Associate Professor - Department of Economics and International Business

Dr. Dr. Sasser is also president of the National Association of Economic Educators and serves as the executive committee’s liaison to NAEE’s Professional Development Committee. She has authored several publications and articles, including two award-winning newspaper series for classroom teachers and students entitled It Just Adds Up and the UCO Business Challenge. At UCO, she serves on the Faculty Enhancement Committee and is active in the UCO American Democracy Project, formerly serving as its faculty co-chair. Dr. Sasser previously coordinated the Economics Department student assessment team and was associate director of the Center for Policy Research for two years. Dr. Sasser has presented numerous papers on economic education and related topics at state, regional and national meetings, and authored several papers on public policy issues impacting the economic well-being of families. She is past president of the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy and was nominated for the 2005 William Odom Award, the highest honor bestowed by the national Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. She has been actively involved in economic and personal financial education for almost 30 years. Dr. Sasser held several positions before entering
academia, including program evaluator with the US General Accounting
Office and economic education specialist with the Federal Reserve Bank
of Dallas. She has been on
faculty at the University of South Dakota, Wayne State College, and
William Woods University. She
