Fill out this form to be put on the mailing list and reserve your spot for the 2003 ISOM tour of Mexico City and Puebla.  Your non-refundable deposit of $650 is already due!!

While in Mexico City, we are staying at the Hotel Majestic, right on the Zocalo.

While in Puebla, we are staying at the Camino Real, a hotel housed in the 16th century former Convent of Immaculate Conception.

We will begin our days in Puebla at UCO's sister university in Mexico,  UPAEP, (Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla) hearing a few of their professors pontificate on Mexican marketing, economy, NAFTA, etc., while we eat a big breakfast.  If you hit the UPAEP link and search ("buscar") for "visita virtual" you can see their lovely campus.

A few slides of our trip from 2002.

These companies have agreed to host our group, but circumstances may dictate that one or more will be unable to accommodate us.  Flexibility will be the operative word.  If any of these businesses has an "unforeseen event" as our date draws near, I will fill the date to the best of my ability.

Estimated Costs

$1400 plus tuition is the best estimate I can make right now for airfare, lodging, ground transportation, all business tours and admission fees to the folkloric ballet.  There will possibly be currency fluctuations but right now the US dollar is trading at $1 for about 11 Mexican pesos.

This is a pay as you go tour, so you must have sufficient cash or credit to get you through these expenses.  Air fare, lodging, ground transportation, meals, and honoraria for the tour guides.  You must fly on the same plane as the rest of the class, stay in the same hotels, ride the same tour bus, and eat breakfast with us in Puebla.  Any other meals, sightseeing, or experiences you choose on your free time are up to you as long as they fall within the confines of the UCO code of conduct.

Student Responsibilities

Attend all pre-trip meetings, tour every plant & facility with the group, and write a paper on an instructor-approved topic. I anticipate 2 or 3 pre-trip meetings of varying length that will be devoted to syllabus and schedule, general Q&A, background on the industries we will see, etc.

BE ON TIME!!!

Be flexible (except about temporal matters)

You'll need to review and sign our appropriate conduct pledge that is included in the syllabus before you receive a permission slip.

Relax & enjoy the megametropolis of North America
