2004
Itinerary (Estimated)
These companies have agreed to host our group, but circumstances may
dictate that one or more will be unable to accommodate us. Flexibility will be the
operative word. If any of these businesses has an "unforeseen event" as
our date draws near, we will have to adjust the schedule
Estimated
Costs
|
These costs are conservative
estimates, and by conservative I mean high. For example, the group
tickets on Southwest Airlines have been as high as $410 each. I had a few
students that purchased their own tickets and flew for ~$200 round
trip. Ground transportation includes the rental of the vans,
gasoline, parking, tolls, and gifts for our tour guides. Depending
on traffic, fuel economy, the number of students in the class, and other
factors outside of our control, we may be slightly over or slightly under
this figure. If you make your own airline reservations and are
arriving or departing Seattle U at an odd hour, then check
these directions
and transportation options.
I will need full payment
by July 12. I
will collect your checks, make three copies, and immediately return one
copy to you, keep one for myself, and turn the third copy in with the
check to our accountant. She and I will both maintain logs of all
funds and I can provide you with a full accounting of your status most any
time you ask for one. The university watches these tours closely and
is not shy about insisting on financial solvency. While I'm in
charge when we're in Seattle, I'm just a pawn in the game of life while on
campus.
This
year we are staying in the dormitories at Seattle University.
They require that we pay for breakfast and lunch whether we use them or
not. If you choose not to have lunch, you can move your
fees over to a debit card for use on their campus. |
