Undergraduate Degree Programs

Management is one of the most challenging and rewarding career fields in the business world today. The need for well trained and competent professional managers to lead and direct the operations of organizations in today’s complex and highly competitive environment has been well documented. With over 200,000 managerial vacancies being advertised nationwide each year since the start of this decade, it is obvious that the demand for managers is, and will in all likelihood, continue to be very strong in the future.

In order to properly prepare students for the demands of the profession, the faculty of the University of Central Oklahoma Department of Management has dedicated itself to the goal of providing each student with the highest quality instruction and classroom learning experience possible. The outstanding academic credentials of the faculty, together with a wealth of real-world business experience, provide the means to insure that this goal is achieved.

The Management Department offers four degree programs leading to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. The four programs are represented by majors in the areas of management, human resource management, professional golf management, and general business.

The BBA degree programs offered by the department are designed specifically with the best interests of the student in mind. Careers in management, as previously suggested, can be both challenging and rewarding for those who obtain the formal education so necessary to successfully compete in today’s business environment.

For those students majoring in another subject area, the Management Department also offers the option of a minor in general Management. This allows the student to diversify his or her educational experience without changing their primary field of interest.
